摘要 太赫兹无线个域网可以支持上Gbit/s的传输速率,但是目前对于太赫兹无线个域网的MAC层研究较少,如何用现有的条件实现太赫兹无线个域网MAC层协议是亟待解决的问题。借助FPGA实现了太赫兹无线个域网MAC层基本功能,并采用波束赋形新机制,减少了节点发送的等待时间,使得端到端数据的传输加快,端到端的网络吞吐量随之提高。之后在Linux上测试数据传输速率,实验结果表明,在带宽不低于3.0 Gbit/s下,新的太赫兹MAC协议的平均数据传输速率能够达到约2.70 Gbit/s;另外,该协议的端到端平均往返时延约为0.284 ms。希望该设计能够为太赫兹超高速无线网卡和无线路由器的研究开发与实用化打下坚实的基础。 THz wireless personal network supports a transmission rate over 1 Gbit/s.However research on MAC layer of THz WPN is rarely published.It is an imminent issue to implement THz WPN with current resources.In this paper,FPGA technology is adopted to realize basic functions of the MAC layer of THz WPN.A new beamforming mechanism is utilized to shorten the waiting time for node transmitting,accelerate end-to-end transmission,and increase end-to-end transmission throughput.Data transmission rate is tested on Linux.Test results show that the average transmission rate with this new THz MAC protocol can reach 2.70 Gbit/s,with a bandwidth no less than 3.0 Gbit/s.Moreover,the average end-to-end two-way delay of this protocol is about 0.284 ms.This design is hopefully provide a sound foundation for the research,development and utilization of THz wireless card and wireless routers.
