Mao Zedong’s Revision of His Work On Correcting Mistaken Ideas in the Party

毛泽东对《关于纠正党内的错误思想》至少有四次修改。第一次修改应在"1937年底、1938年初",只是"作了个别文字的修改"。第二次修改在编纂《六大以来》时,在增加内容和形式的规范性、准确性的同时,注重决议案的原始性。第三次修改在1942年4月初前后,具有针对性、通俗性。前三次修改与纠正党内存在的教条主义有关。第四次修改适应了中华人民共和国成立后国内外广大读者了解或学习毛泽东思想的迫切需要,以独立著作收入《毛选》,突出对马克思主义哲学一般原理的运用,完善和发展党的建设理论,重申和强调人民军队的建军理论,明确党内错误思想来源及其对应的阶级关系。它的修改发展了毛泽东建党建军思想,对中国革命和建设具有重要的指导意义。

Mao Zedong made at least four revisions to his work On Correcting Mistaken Ideas in the Party.The first revision was made around the end of 1937 and the beginning of 1938,but only a few text revisions were made. In the second revision,when compiling the work Since the Sixth National Congress,it paid attention to the originality of the resolution while increasing the standardization and accuracy of the content and form. The third revision was made around the beginning of April 1942,which was targeted and popular. The first three revisions were related to correcting of dogmatism in the Party. The fourth revision met the urgent needs of the readers both at home and abroad to understand or study Mao Zedong Thought after the founding of New China. It was included in The Selected Works of Mao Zedong as an independent work,highlighting the application of the general principles of Marxist philosophy,improving and developing the theory of Party building. It reiterated and emphasized the people’s army building theory,and clarified the source of mistaken ideas within the Party and the corresponding class relationships. Its revisions have developed Mao Zedong ’s thought of building the Party and army,which will have important guiding significance for the Chinese revolution and construction.
