Windows?Non-Windows?:The Beauty of Windows in the Ancient Chinese Architecture

我国古建筑独特的榫卯架构使窗得以从结构束缚中解脱,因而被赋予变化纷呈的形态样式。这多变的形式不仅彰显出中国建筑的等级制度,更体现了中国文化的深厚意蕴。从窗的形制等级到意境寄托,需要结合中国传统艺术综合领悟,人们方能解得其中意蕴内涵。文章将从宫殿、寺庙、住宅及园林中窗的基本形态谈到窗在中国古建筑中的艺术美,也即由"窗"到"非窗"的美学层面,展现窗在古建筑中的美学功用。

The unique tenon-and-mortise structure of ancient buildings in China can free the windows from the constraints of structure,so the windows are endowed with varied forms and styles,which not only reflect the hierarchical system of Chinese architecture,but also show the profound implication of Chinese culture.From the form of the windows to the artistic conception,only combine the Chinese traditional art,can people understand its meaning comprehensively.In this paper,the basic forms of the windows in palaces,temples,residences and gardens will be gradually discussed to the artistic beauty of the windows in Ancient Chinese buildings,that is,from the aesthetic level of"windows"to"non-windows",and show the aesthetic function of the windows in ancient buildings.
