The p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathway is one of the most critical intracellular signaling pathways in the human body and is involved in the occurrence and development of many respiratory diseases. On one hand,p38 MAPK signaling pathway can interact with glucocorticoid receptor(GR)to mediate inflammation-related reactions;on the other hand,p38 MAPK signaling pathway affects GR′s sensitivity to glucocorticoid. In common respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, acute lung injury,rhinosinusitis-nasal polyp,p38 MAPK signaling pathway related upstream and downstream factors and gene loci are constantly being discovered.Therefore,in-depth study of the regulatory mechanism of p38 MAPK signaling pathway on GR is of great significance for the future research on new drugs and improving the clinical efficacy of related diseases.
