Promoting High-quality Economic Development in Coordination with High-level Protection of Ecological Environment

党的十九届五中全会开启了全面建设社会主义现代化国家的新征程。实现高质量发展是“十四五”时期经济社会发展的主题。高质量发展不仅体现在经济发展方面,而且体现在社会、文化和生态文明等各方面。生态环境领域必须依据新发展阶段高质量发展的新要求,协同推进经济高质量发展和生态环境高水平保护。要通过制度引导、激励和倒逼,实现发展模式绿色转型,创造高质量发展的公平市场环境,维护人民环境权益和社会和谐稳定。同时,要通过生产生活方式的绿色转型,推动形成保护生态环境的内生动力,实现生态环境高水平保护。

The 5th Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has started a new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way. Achieving high-quality development is the theme of economic and social development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. High-quality development is not only reflected in the high quality of economic development, but also in economic-social culture, ecological civilization and so on. The field of ecological environment should follow the new requirements of high-quality development in the new development stage, promote the high-quality economic development in coordination with high-level protection of the ecological environment. It is of necessity to realize the green transformation of the development mode through the guidance, encouragement and pushing force from the system in order to create a fair market environment for high-quality development, safeguard people’s environmental rights and interests and maintain social harmony and stability. At the same time, through the green transformation of production and life style, the endogenous power should be generated to protect the ecological environment and achieve high-level protection of the ecological environment.
