With the rapid development of China’s high-speed rail, the issue of how to coordinate the development of high-speed rail construction with urban functional space has attracted widespread attention. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the coordinated development of high-speed rail and cities, this paper builds the evaluation index system of the efficiency of the coordinated development of high-speed rail hub construction and urban function space from the perspectives of urban coordination,high-speed rail hub construction, and distance between stations. The DEA model is introduced to analyze and calculate its efficiency matching degree,in order to provide a basis for the coordinated development of existing high-speed rail stations and cities in the city.Through the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail case, the efficiency value of the synergy relationship between 24 stations and the city is analyzed. The results show that high-speed rail hubs such as Beijing South Railway Station and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station are developing well, while Changzhou North Railway Station,Suzhou North Railway Station and Tianjin South Railway Station have a poor development, especially the output capacity of Tianjin South Railway Station, such as passing capacity and passenger flow, need to be further strengthened.
