Analysis of Interrelationship between Mathematics and Related Disciplines in Web of Science

学科交叉研究意义重大,数学作为基础学科,事实上与其他学科存在很多交叉,但有关交叉情况的具体研究比较少。基于Web of Science中数学领域的相关数据和期刊-学科的分类视角,采用学科共现分析法,构建了数学学科与交叉学科间的邻接矩阵。从复杂网络的角度,对数学大学科内部、数学大学科与其关联学科的交叉关系进行了图谱分析和测度分析。通过引入中介中心性、绝对度中心性、E-I指数深度剖析了交叉学科群的结构特征。本文理论分析所得的实证结果与实际情况较为一致,说明了所构建的学科交叉的指标及特征识别方法的可靠性,揭示了数学学科在整个学科交叉发展中的重要作用。

Interdisciplinary research is of great significance.As a basic discipline,mathematics actually has a lot of overlaps with other disciplines,but there are few specific studies on their crossovers.Based on the relative data of mathematics from the Web of Science and the perspective of journal-discipline classification,co-occurrence analysis method is used to construct adjacency matrix between mathematics and interdisciplinary subjects.From the viewpoint of complex networks,the cross-relationship between mathematical disciplines and related disciplines is analyzed by graph analysis and measure analysis.The structure characteristics of interdisciplinary groups are analyzed by introducing intermediary centrality,absolute centrality and EI i ndex.The empirical results obtained from theoretical analysis are well consistent with the actual situation,which illustrates the reliability of the constructed interdisciplinary indicators and feature identification methods,and reveals the importance of mathematics in the interdisciplinary development of all disciplines.
