Practice and Effect of Xu Teli’s Thoughts on Ideological and Political Theory Education in Yan’an Academy of Natural Sciences

延安自然科学院是党在新民主主义革命时期创办的第一所理工科大学,目标在于培养“又红又专”的科技人才,因此非常重视对学生进行思想政治理论教育。徐特立担任科学院院长时期,将丰富的教育工作经验和革命时期的实际情况相结合,提出了许多关于思想政治理论教育的深刻见解与观点,表现出极强的时代性、科学性和实践性。在徐特立的领导下,延安自然科学院的思想政治理论教育工作紧密服务于党在革命时期的战略目标,为取得革命战争胜利、推进边区经济发展和培养科技人才做出突出贡献,也为党领导下的思想政治理论教育工作积累了丰富的历史经验,对于今天思想政治理论教育事业的守正创新具有积极的现实启迪意义。

Yan’an Academy of Natural Sciences is the first science and engineering university founded by the Party during the period of the New Democratic Revolution,whose goal was to cultivate“red and professional”scientific and technological talents.Therefore,it attached great importance to ideological and political education for students.When Xu Teli was the dean of the Academy of Sciences,he combined his rich educational work experience with the actual situation during the revolutionary period,and put forward many insights and opinions on ideological and political theory education that showed a strong contemporary,scientific and practical nature.Under the leadership of Xu Teli,the ideological and political theory education of Yan’an Academy of Natural Sciences closely served the Party’s strategic goals in the revolutionary period,made outstanding contributions to win the victory of the revolutionary war,promoting the economic development of the border area,and cultivating scientific and technological talents.Meanwhile,it has accumulated rich historical experience for ideological and political theory education under the leadership of the Party,and has positive realistic and enlightening significance for the integrity and innovation of today’s ideological and political theory education.
