高校英语教学中的翻译美育途径探幽

摘要 美育是高校开展课程思政工作的重要方面,美育融入课程教学环节会获得良好的教学效果。而长期以来,高校英语教学中的美育是一个薄弱环节,许多高等院校的英语教学仍然局限在实用性和知识性两个维度中,忽略学生审美素质的培养与提高,导致学生难以提升高级的语言输出能力。英语专业八级是各类英语测试中最高等级水平测试,拟从专八翻译真题入手,结合课堂教学与实践,探讨使用叠词以增添译文音韵感;运用“四字格”以凸显译文表意性;采用古汉语以丰富译文意境化等翻译美育手法,有效培养学生的创新能力和审美素养。 Aesthetic education plays a vital role in the ideological reform of China higher education and integrating aesthetics with courses could help to achieve satisfactory teaching effects.However,over a rather long time,with the aesthetic education grossly overlooked,English teaching in most colleges and universities is still limited to the practical and instrumental dimensions,which results in insufficient cultivation and improvement of students'aesthetic quality,plus low capacity of language output on the part of learners.Selecting source materials from TEM 8,the highest level in all sorts of English proficiency tests,this paper intends to explore how to introduce the aesthetic approaches to language teaching,proposing some practical techniques i.e.reduplicative words could be used to add the beauty of rhyme and rhythm;“four-character compounds”could be employed to highlight the refined beauty and uniformity;classical Chinese could be adopted to enrich the artistic conception and humanistic beauty of the translation,so that students'creativeness and aesthetic quality could be effectively enhanced.
