A Contrastive Study on Translation Strategies in Four English Versions of Lin Jiang Xian by Yang Shen

《临江仙·滚滚长江东逝水》是杨慎咏史词的代表作,全词基调慷慨悲壮,在景语中预示哲理,意境深邃,以“汉语古诗英译策略体系”为理论基础,从语言、形式和内容等多个层面对其四种英文译本进行对比分析,目的是探讨不同译者的翻译策略及其相似性与差异性。

Lin Jiang Xian is a representative work of Yang Shen’s historical poems.The tone of the whole poem is generous and solemn,indicating philosophy and profound artistic conception in scenery.Based on the theory of“Strategy System of English Translation of Ancient Chinese Poetry”,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the four English versions of the poem from the aspects of language,form and content.The purpose of which is to explore the translation strategies of different translators and their similarities and differences.
