Self-construal is a way for individuals to explore the structure of self-representations.It has not only static characteristics, but also dynamic characteristics under the influence of cultural diversity.Recently, researchers have found the role of self-construal in cognitive and emotional processing from the perspectives of attention, perceptual processing, transactive memory,decision-making and emotion regulation strategies, and a large number of studies have been conducted on the physiological mechanism of self-construal.Future studies are needed to further explore the internal mechanism of how self-construal influences cognition, integrate the existing research on neural activity in this field, further explore the relationship between gene, culture and brain,as well as develop the research and application of self-construal from a dialectical perspective.
