In the new era,college students shoulder the great responsibility of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,how to integrate the red gene into the ideological and political education of college students has become the focus and difficulty of quality education.Therefore,this paper first analyzes the significance of the red gene to the ideological and political education of college students,then introduces the plight of the ideological and political education of college students,and finally explores the path of integrating the red gene into the ideological and political education of college students,hoping to promote the healthy development of ideological and political education of college students and cultivate them into excellent talents in line with the development needs of the times.
