Analysis of the Themes of Platonov’s “Eastern Stories”

在普拉东诺夫的创作中,《沙漠中的女教师》《龟裂土》《江族人》被称之为"东方小说",其中的故事主要发生在中亚沙漠地区,反映出作家对东方的极大兴趣,是传达作家思想、体现作家创作主题和风格转向的重要作品,其蕴含丰富、主题多样。本文主要从东方与西方、漫游与归乡、记忆与遗忘等几个方面阐释这些小说中蕴涵的主题和思想。

The stories in Platonov’s works which are called Eastern stories, such as Sand Teacher, Takyr and Dzhan, mainly take place in the desert regions of central Asia, reflecting the author’s interest to the East. It is no doubt that these works are the important ones to express the author’s thoughts, creative themes and the change of the style, which is rich in diversity and themes. This article mainly explains the themes and ideas of these novels through the east and west, roaming and returning, memory and forgetting and so on.
