存在即合理:近代“体育教育”语词来源探析

Existence is Rationality:on the Origin of Modern“Physical education”Words

“体育教育”一词作为学术界广泛使用的词汇,从诞生之时起便蕴含了不合理性,从逻辑学角度而言,“体育”原本就是“身体教育”,不必再添“教育”作为后缀,因此“体育教育”的组合颇为怪异。1950年代,这一问题曾引起关注,但遗憾的是最终并无定论。基于此,本研究以探索历史遗留问题作为出发点,运用文献资料法、关键词研究法、逻辑分析法对近代“体育教育”一词出现的成因进行探讨。结果认为,“体育教育”一词在近代出现的成因主要归咎于体育概念内涵与外延的扩大,其根源在于“体育”与“运动”两个概念的相互纠葛与混淆。“体育教育”虽然怪异但合理合法,建议加以规范后继续沿用。

The term“physical education”,as a widely used vocabulary in academia,has its irrationality since its birth.From a logical point of view,“sports”is originally a“physical education”.Education is a suffix,so the combination of“physical education”is rather bizarre.In the 1950s,this issue caused concern,but unfortunately,there was no final conclusion.Based on this,this paper explores the historical problems left over by using the literature data method,keyword search method and logic analysis method to explore the causes of the emergence of the modern“physical education”.The result is that the cause of the emergence of the term“physical education”in modern times can be mainly attributed to the expansion of the connotation and extension of the concept of sports.Its essence lies in the contradiction and development of the two concepts of“sports”and“physical education”.Although“physical education”is weird but reasonable and legal,it is recommended to continue to use it after standardization.
