With the application of the fifth-generation mobile communication network(5G)technology,a series of new technical standards,communication protocols,support equipment and so on are gradually appearing in front of people.This article will focus on whether 5G messaging services will impact existing social instant messaging software.This paper analyzes and expounds from the six aspects of network protocol technology,flexibility and scalability of content protocol,privacy protection,content security,etc.,so as to draw the conclusion that the emergence of the 5G messaging service will not impact the existing social instant messag⁃ing software.
