By exploring the thoughts of inspection of meridians and acupoints,this paper refines and analyses the relevant discussions in the original text of Huangdi Neijing and corresponds to the clinical practice. This paper expounds the application value and significance of the inspection contents of Huangdi NeiJing in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of acupuncture from four aspects: the overview of meridians and acupoints inspection, meridians inspection, collaterals inspection and acupoints inspection. It is shown that the theories of inspection in Huangdi Neijing is of great significance to the clinical practice of acupuncture,and help to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of disease diagnosis and treatment.
