This paper introduces professor XIONG Lei’s academic views on integrating cold and febrile and advocating the theory of febrile diseases,and sums up his academic opinions,namely taking attaining and seeking a state of harmony in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diseases as the key,in clinical practice attaching importance to the three vitals and suiting measures to different conditions,medicine advancing with times,integrating Chinese and Western medicine,defending healthy qi and seeking efficacy,correlation between lung and bowel,and giving priority to dredge intestines,etc.Professor XIONG innovated aromatherapy and created a series of multi dosage forms of aromatic preparations,such as"Cang’ai Xiangxun You(苍艾香熏油)",which is widely used in pediatric clinical practice to administer drugs in multiple ways,including oral administration and external use.Clinical practice focuses on the synthesis of four diagnostic methods,treating different diseases with the same therapy,combination of medicine and cultivation,good use of Yunnan medicinal,combination of internal and external treatment,flexibly making prescriptions,accurate and effective compatibility,giving medication according to different patient’s condition,dispersing depression and expelling pathogenic factors,and creating new prescriptions.It can be said that he is abundant in both learning and experience.
