As a conventional spoken expression,Spanish idioms have the characteristics of multiple rhetoric,lively words,vivid images,etc.They are often impressive with unexpected extensions and escaping.Making a general observation of these characteristic expressions,it can be found that most of them are closely related to names,and the cultural background behind them is profound,which is worthy of in-depth study.In addition,Spanish learners often encounter learning difficulties and translation problems due to the cultural meaning and its cultural difference from their native language.Based on this perspective,with names in Spanish idioms as an entry point,this paper categorizes them,traces their roots,clarifies the reasons for their extended meanings,and then explores the translation strategies for expressions with such cultural characteristics.
