南社与新文化运动——以《民国日报·觉悟》为中心的考察

The South Society and the New Culture Movement——An investigation centering on Awakening,Supplement of Min Kuo Yir Pao

南社是一个带有浓重政治色彩的"传统型"文学社团,其成员的文学主张、审美理想、文化选择并不追求一致。在新文化运动的冲击下,南社走向分化,社友更是表现出不同的文化姿态。一部分社友站在了新文化运动的对立面,使南社呈现出"保守"的面目。而以叶楚伧、邵力子为代表的另一部分社友却投身新文化运动,以《民国日报·觉悟》为中心积极推动新文化运动和新文学建设,并为新南社的成立作了重要的铺垫。对这部分内容进行系统梳理分析,既有助于丰富学界对南社与新文化运动关系的认识,也有助于深化对作为"四大副刊"之一的《民国日报·觉悟》的理解。

The South Society was a"traditional"literary society with strong political color,and its members did not pursue consistency in literary propositions,aesthetic ideals and cultural choices.Under the impact of the New Culture Movement,the South Society became divided,and its members showed different cultural postures.A part of the members stood on the opposite side of the New Culture Movement,putting a"conservative"look on the Society,while the other part represented by Ye Chucang and Shao Lizi devoted themselves to the New Culture Movement,actively promoting the New Culture Movement and the construction of new literature with Awakening,Supplement of Min Kuo Yir Pao as the center,and laid an important foundation for the establishment of the New South Society.A systematic analysis of this part will be conducive not only to enriching the academic understanding of the relationship between the South Society and the New Culture Movement,but also to deepening the understanding of Awakening,Supplement of Min Kuo Yir Pao,which was one of"the four major supplements".
