Lu Jiuyuan’s Perspective on Relationship between Confucianism and Buddhism

Concerning the major issue of the times,Lu Jiuyuan put forward his own view on the relationship between Confucianism and Buddhism.After studying on classics of Confucianism and Buddhism,he expounded the similarities and differences between them on the basis of comprehensive evaluation of Confucianism and Buddhism.His analysis of the interconnectedness of Confucianism and Buddhism laid the foundation for his introducing Buddhism into Confucianism and constructing his Mind Philosophy system with Confucianist essence and Buddhist functions.His concrete and profound analysis of the difference between Confucianism and Buddhism developed a school of one's own,which not only clarified the difference between his own theory and Buddhism,but also discovered the divergence between Confucianism and Buddhism on moral and ethical level.
