Translation Redefined and Translation Criticism

翻译研究范式的变迁不仅带来了迥异的理论视角,而且引发了对翻译本身的重新界定。后现代的翻译观在质疑文本意义、等值和翻译批评的传统观念的同时,促使翻译批评的模式和评判标准变得多元。回顾中国翻译批评近数十年的历史会发现,翻译批评实际上是主流话语的延伸、顺应甚或强化。

The paradigm shift of translation studies has brought about not only the totally different perspectives of research but also the redefinition of translation itself.Questioning the traditional concepts about the text meaning,equivalence and criteria of translation evaluation,the post-modernist paradigm has resulted in varied modes of criticism and multiple criteria of translation assessment.Retrospective studies of translation in the past decades in China reveals the interwoven relations of translation criticism as extension,compliance and consolidation with the dominant discourses.
