Research on LIANG Sicheng's Architectural Academic Theory and Practice

2021年是中国建筑学家梁思成(1901—1972)双甲子诞辰。何以继续深入挖掘梁思成先生不朽的贡献,何以继承其丰厚的建筑文化遗产,何以从人类文化史与当代设计史上找到他对当今城市及建筑界睿发巧智的启迪,都是深入研究梁公的理由。据此,基于对《梁思成全集》(2001年1-9卷,2007年第10卷)的再研读,归纳了今人向梁思成学习应具备的传统与现代意识、传承与弘扬精神。梁思成先生结缘中外建筑文化,功底深厚,思想活跃,成就卓越,大量纪念文献将他的贡献仅归为中国古建筑,这有碍于梁思成建筑思想的国际化影响力的拓展。研究总结梁思成先生的建筑理论与实践,必须着眼其广阔大建筑观的视野,也必然发现其对中国建筑跻身世界建筑之林的一系列开创性成就。

2021 marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of Chinese architect Liang Sicheng (1901-1972).The academic community and all sectors of society will commemorate the giant of international architecture.How to continue to dig deep into Mr.Liang Sicheng’s immortal contribution,how to inherit his rich architectural cultural heritage,and how to find his inspiration for the wisdom of today’s cities and architectural circles from the history of human culture and contemporary design,are the reasons for in-depth study of Liang Gong.As demonstrated above,the article is based on the re-study of Liang Sicheng’s Complete Collection (Volumes 1-9 of 2001 and Volume 10 of 2007),which summarizes the traditions and modern consciousness,inheritance and promotion spirit that today’s people should learn from Liang Sicheng.This paper holds that Mr.Liang Sicheng’s deep foundation of Chinese and foreign architectural culture,active thinking,outstanding achievements,a large number of commemorative documents will only be attributed to his contribution to Ancient Chinese architecture is a limitation,which hinders the expansion of the international influence of Liang Sicheng’s architectural thought,research and summary of Mr.Liang Sicheng’s architectural theory and practice,we must focus on his broad architectural vision,and we must find its Chinese architecture into the world’s architectural forest of a series of pioneering achievements.
