Objective To explore the application effect of film reading competition of histology and embryology on clinical medicine teaching. Methods A total of 100 students of clinical class 1705 and 1706 who participated in the competition of histology and embryology and final examination were selected as experimental group, while 116 students of clinical class 1603 and 1604 who did not participate in the competition were selected as control group. The final experimental and theoretical scores of the students in two groups were compared, and the correlation between the final comprehensive score and competition score was analyzed. Results The final experimental and theoretical scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05);there was a positive correlation between students’competition score and final comprehensive score(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of histology and embryology film reading competition not only improves students’learning effect, but also helps teachers to improve teaching methods.
