In the running process of railway freight car,the wheel and axle is the most important part to ensure the stability and safety of the operation,so we should pay more attention to the maintenance of the wheel and axle.Therefore,in the context of the development of the new era,with the increase of the number of railway freight cars and the improvement of the running speed,it is necessary to improve the safety performance of the current railway trains,especially to improve the quality of the wheel and axle.Therefore,the paper mainly discusses the current maintenance work of wheel and axle of railway freight car,and discusses the common faults and corresponding strategies in maintenance work,so as to enhance the safety of railway train operation.
