The processing of Japanese collocations——Evidence from NIRS

摘要 本研究基于在线合理性判断任务的反应时和近红外光学成像技术(NIRS)监测到的脑代谢激活模式,探讨了中国学习者日语语块加工过程中语义透明度和汉日双语间同译性的影响效应。研究发现:1)不同语义透明度语块的语义加工模式各不相同,高语义透明度语块倾向语义分解加工,而低语义透明度语块最倾向语义整体加工;2)汉日双语间同译搭配与异译搭配语块的加工模式不同,同译搭配语块加工过程中需要消耗更多认知资源。以上结果表明,语义透明度和同译性可能阻碍语块在心理词典内的整体存储,对日语语块习得产生负面影响。 This study investigates the influence of semantic transparency and translational congruency on the processing of Japanese collocations by Chinese JFL learners using an online acceptability judgement task. The analysis of reaction time and cortical activities monitored by near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS) revealed that: 1) the processing varies with the collocations that have high, medium and low semantic transparency. Collocations with high semantic transparency are most inclined to holistic access, while collocations with low semantic transparency are more inclined to decomposed access;2) the processing is different between the congruent collocations and incongruent collocations. Morecognitive resources are required in the processing of congruent collocations. These results show that semantic transparency and translational congruency may hinder the holistic storage of collocations in the mental lexicon, which can have a negative impact on the acquisition of Japanese collocations.
