摘要
省籍认同是建构国家认同的重要中间环节。清末,以省为单位的留学生报刊在宣传本省的同时,也重塑了本省地域形象。云南留学生报刊将云南塑造为气候宜人、资源丰富的富饶之地,堪称中国门户的战略要地,不仅表达爱乡之情,还论证云南与全国的密切联系及在全国的重要地位。云南留学生报刊中所体现的国家话语,反映了他们从爱乡到爱国,由省籍认同到国家认同的思想轨迹。这一现象,不但是清末云南地方精英国家认同的具体体现,而且对今天爱国情怀的培养仍有积极意义。
Provincial identity constitutes an important part of national identity.In the late Qing Dynasty,overseas students from Yunnan published newspapers in which they not only promoted Yunnan to the world but also depicted Yunnan as a land of bounty with pleasant climate and rich resources,thus reshaping the image of Yunnan as a strategic gateway of China.Such discourse not just expresses their love of their home province,but also links the province to other parts of China,showing their patriotic feelings for the home and for the country.The discourse is significant not just as manifestations of the national identity of Yunnan’s local elites,but also as texts for cultivating patriotism among youngsters today.
