Operating Room Efficiency Analysis of a Third-Level Public Hospital in Beijing in 2019

目的评价某三级公立医院新手术室运行效率,探讨提高手术室运行效率的方法,评价改进效果。方法分别于改进前的2019年3月4日-2019年3月17日,改进后的2019年6月10日-2019年6月23日,通过现场调查方式,采集、记录研究医院新手术室的患者入术间时间、麻醉开始时间、手术开始时间、手术结束时间、患者出室时间,以及术前、术后麻醉恢复室的入出时间等,指标使用中位数等进行统计描述,使用非参数检验对比手术室改进前后各项指标。结果现场调查中患者入室时间改进前后由25分钟缩短至11分钟,P<0.001;手术开始前麻醉时间由37分钟增长至52分钟,P=0.001;手术结束至患者出室时间由31分钟缩短至28分钟,P=0.012;麻醉恢复室使用时间由40分钟增长至51分钟,P=0.003;接台时间由12分钟缩短至11分钟,P<0.001,差异具有统计学意义。结论通过手术室效率分析采取合适的措施可以缩短新建手术室空闲时间,提高手术室使用效率。

Objective To evaluate the operation efficiency of the new operating room of a third-level public hospital, explore the methods to improve the operation efficiency of the operating room, and evaluate the effect of improvement. Methods Before the improvement, from March 4, 2019 to March 17, 2019, and after the improvement, from June 10, 2019 to June 23, 2019, we collected and recorded the patient entry time, the start time of anesthesia, and the operation in the new operating room of the research hospital through field surveys. The start time, the end of the operation, the time when the patient leaves the room, and the time of entering and leaving the anesthesia recovery room before and after the operation, etc. The indicators are statistically described using medians, etc., and non-parametric tests are used to compare various times before and after the improvement of the operating room. Results In the field investigation, the patient’s entry time was shortened from 25 minutes to 11 minutes before and after the improvement, P<0.001;the anesthesia time before the operation was increased from 37 minutes to 52 minutes, P=0.001;the time from the end of the operation to the patient’s exit was shortened from 31 minutes to 28 minutes, P=0.012;the use time of the anesthesia recovery room increased from 40 minutes to 51 minutes, P=0.003;the connection time was shortened from 12 minutes to 11 minutes, P<0.001, there were statistical differences. Conclusion The research hospital shortened the idle time of the newly-built operating room and improved the efficiency of the operating room.
