摘要
大足石刻留下許多宋代勞動婦女的形象。乳醫沉着鎮定,在簡陋的醫療條件下拯救不少母親與嬰兒,"父母恩重"組雕更將母親的恩德提到新的高度。乳母的形象十分罕見,它與文獻吻合,説明仕女不親自哺乳在宋代十分普遍。廚娘與養雞女成爲殺生的形象代表,一方面説明女性勞動在整個社會中的比重有所上升;另一方面又説明傳統的社會性别觀造成善惡的雙重標準。大足石刻的確表現出佛教的世俗化,其實,這也正反映出佛教對世俗生活的深遠影響。
Dazu Rock Carvings left many images of working women in the Song Dynasty. The midwives, calm and composed, saved many mothers and babies under poor medical conditions. The group sculpture showing parents’ kindness brought the mother’s role in childbirth to a new height. While the image of the lactating mother is rare,it is consistent with the literature,indicating that it is very common for ladies not to breastfeed themselves in the Song Dynasty.The cook and the chicken-raising girl have become the image of killing,suggesting that while the proportion of female labor in the general society has increased,the traditional gender perspective has led to ambiguous standards of good and evil. The Dazu Rock Carvings not only show the secularization of Buddhism but also reflect the farreaching influence of Buddhism on secular life.
