戈亳册父丁簋与复合氏名

On the Ge-bo-ce Fu-ding Gui Vessel in the Museum of Hebei University and Combined Clan Emblemd

河北大学博物馆收藏的戈亳册父丁簋,应是著录于《商周金文录遗》中的第131器。戈亳册为复合氏名,戈为族氏名号,亳为地名,册为官职名称,此复合氏名是族名+地名+官名的形式。戈亳册父丁簋的发现对商代晚期青铜器与族氏铭文的研究有重要意义。

The gui vessel with the inscriptions of ‘Ge-bo-ce Fu-ding’,which is now stored in the museum of Hebei university,should be the item no.131 documented in the catalogue of ‘Shang-Zhou Jingwen Luyi’ by Yu Xingwu.The author suggests that ‘Ge-bo-ce’ should be a combined clan emblem.Specifically,ge was the clan emblem;bo was the place name;and ce was the official title.In other words,the format of the combined clam emblem was based on the format of clan emblem,place name,and official title.Thus,the discovery of the Ge-bo-ce Fu-ding gui vessel held significances for the study of Late Shang bronze vessels and inscriptions about clan emblems.
