The Judgement is Franz Kafka's a foundation work that marks his maturity.The particular context of the early 20th century and the experiences of insurance agent led Kafka to explore social issues in his works.The Judgement depicts the alienation of people by capitalism,and portrays a selfish and ruthless young businessman,Georg Bendemann,who is far from his friends and father in a profit-oriented society.This novel embodies people inability to find the meaning of life in an alienated society and the pain of mental torture,which is ultimately swallowed up by society.The analysis and demonstration of this novel is conducive to a more rational perception of Kafka's work.
