Stress is a kind of biological adaptive response to restore body balance.Heat stress is one of the most common environmental challenges faced by poultry worldwide,which has a negative impact on the health,welfare and productivity of Broilers and layers.The adaptive responses of poultry to heat stress are complex and delicate in nature,including the effects on the gut.In this paper,the effects of heat stress on the behavior,physiology and health of poultry were reviewed.Through in-depth understanding of how the health of poultry was affected under the condition of heat stress,physical methods and nutritional measures could be targeted to reduce losses and improve benefits.
