当下“乡土中国叙事”的概念及范畴建构刍议

On the Concept and Category Construction of the Literary Narratives of the Contemporary Rural China

“乡土中国叙事”这一概念当下虽然深受学界的青睐,但尚没有被认真界定过。这一概念在当下研究中浮出,是因其融合了“乡土”和“中国”这两大价值元素,能更好地满足人们审视呈现20世纪以来中国社会现代转型中乡土社会及文化问题的文本类型的需要。基于此,应该以开放的眼光来对待这一概念,充分利用“乡土”和“中国”的组合可拓出的多方面的意义空间。这一概念不仅应该包含以农村农民为呈现主体的“中国之乡土”叙事,而且应该包含以传统乡土社会文明为呈现主体的“乡土之中国”叙事。

Although the concept of the literary narratives of the rural China is favored by the academic circle,it has not been seriously defined yet.This paper holds that the popularity of this concept in the current research is owing to its integration of the two elements of value,that is,“rusticity”and“China”,and it can better meet the needs of people to examine the text types which presents the social and cultural problems in the modern transformation of Chinese society since the 20th century.Based on this,we should keep an open mind to this concept and make full use of the multifaceted meaning spaces that can be developed by the two elements of value.This concept should include not only the narrative of rural in the sense of the countryside and farmers,but also the narrative of China in the sense of agricultural civilization.
