论柔然与北朝诸政权的“和亲”外交——以柔然、吐谷浑公主墓志为中心

On the“Intermarriage”Diplomacy Between Rouran and the Regimes in the Northern Dynasties:Centering on the Epitaphs of the Princess of Rouran and Tuyuhun

政治联姻的动机是为政权之间结成联盟。东、西魏竞相结好柔然,而柔然因畏惧新兴的突厥亦迫不及待地与东、西魏和亲结盟,这些都是对诸政权之间和亲本质的最好诠释。西魏与突厥的结好,又是在应对势力强劲的柔然,邻和公主出嫁的时间与她去世的时间节点都与柔然和突厥的关系相关。柔然政权的最终灭亡,应是北齐与突厥联合绞杀的结果。吐谷浑晖华公主墓志包含有柔然与东、西魏的联姻内容,也有柔然与吐谷浑的联姻记载,还有吐谷浑与原西秦王室成员的联姻信息,是解读北朝诸政权之间错综复杂关系的绝好材料。

Political marriages were motivated by alliances between regimes.The competition between the Eastern and Western Wei dynasties to form an alliance with Rouran and the eagerness of Rouran to form an alliance with the Eastern and Western Wei regimes for fear of the emerging Turkic regime were the best illustrations of the nature of inter-regime marriages.The alliance between the Western Wei dynasty and Turkic regime was also a response to the powerful Rouran power.The timing of Linhe Princess’s marriage and her death were all related to the relationship between Rouran and Turkic regimes.The ultimate demise of the Rouran regime should be the result of the joint strangulation of the Northern Qi and Turkic regime.The epitaph of Huihua Princess of Tuyuhun records the intermarriages Rouran had with the Eastern and the Western Wei.Besides,the marriages of Tuyuhun with Rouran and the former members of the Western Qin royal family are also included in this epitaph.Thus,it can be treated as the best material to interpret the complicated relations among the regimes of Northern dynasties.
