The average age of the global population has risen steadily since the 20th Century.The century from 1950 to 2050 is unprecedented for human population.The first half of the century witnessed rapid population growth while the second half will see longer life expectancy.In 1999,the proportion of people aged 60 and over in China reached 10 percent,marking the dawn of its aging society.In 2019,the proportion of people aged 60 and over reached 18.1 percent.As population aging continues,the impact on economic and social development will be comprehensive,profound,and lasting.
