Question awareness and critical thinking are the key elements for cultivating the academic research ability of graduate students.The discussion-based teaching allows students to construct knowledge in the process of independent thinking and raise awareness of problems by leaving room for further thinking in the classroom.In the discussion stage,the students can participate together,and through continuous questioning they can ask a series of related challenging questions in order to improve their cognitive ability and critical thinking.This kind of discussion-based teaching uses different perspectives,methods,and views to collide and blend with each other,and finally clarify the views or form a basic consensus,which has certain applicability for cultivating the academic research ability of history graduate students.
