摘要
扩展意义单位是语言交际的基本单位,是语言产出流利性和地道性的保证。研究以名词ability构成的扩展意义单位为例探讨中国英语学习者名词扩展意义单位的使用特点。结果发现:中国英语学习者使用名词构成扩展意义单位时多出现动词与名词的搭配,多用物主代词特别是第一人称的物主代词以及所有格来限定名词,对于词汇在不同意义单位中的语义韵把握还不够准确。
As the basic units of language communication,extended units of meaning guarantee the fluency and accuracy of language output.This study takes the extended unit of meaning formed by the noun"ability"as an example and discusses the characteristics of Chinese English learners'extended units of meaning with nouns.It is found that:Chinese English learners prefer to use verbs and possessive pronouns or possessive cases to collocate nouns.Furthermore,Chinese English learners'mastering of semantic prosodies of words needs to be improved.
