摘要
人类认知几何有欧几里得性吗?因康德的直觉理论假设普遍时空并依赖于欧几里得几何,然而如果人类认知(如视觉)有黎曼特征,从而使得直觉判断不可能具有超越参照系的普遍有效性,康德学说就会有被颠覆的危险。认知几何的欧几里得德性问题,不仅对康德哲学形成挑战,也是认知科学亟待进一步研究的课题。
Is human cognitive geometry Euclidean? The Euclidean geometry can be regarded as the foundation of the Kantian philosophy. The possible non-Euclidean nature of human cognition thus constitutes a grave challenge to Kant. If human vision has Riemannian features, it would make it impossible for intuition to offer the universal reference required by Kant’s doctrine. The article divides cognitive geometry into the intrinsic and the extrinsic, and examines in what sense the human cognition might not be Euclidean.
