西瓜新品种秀雅2号的选育

A New Watermelon F_(1) Hybrid——‘Xiuya No.2’

秀雅2号是以自交系TH0912为母本,以自交系TH098为父本配制而成的早熟西瓜一代杂种。植株生长势中强,春季露地栽培全生育期108 d(天),果实发育期31 d(天)。果实圆形,果皮绿色覆墨绿色窄条带,单瓜质量4.5 kg左右,果皮厚10 mm,较耐贮运;瓜瓤红色,口感酥脆,中心糖含量11.9%。田间对枯萎病和白粉病的抗性与对照京欣1号相当,每667 m^(2)产量2900 kg左右,适宜陕西、安徽、河北、山东等地保护地及露地栽培。

‘Xiuya No.2’is a new early-maturing watermelon F_(1) hybrid developed by crossing inbred line‘TH0912’as female parent and inbred line‘TH098’as male parent.In spring open field cultivation its whole growth period is 108 days and the fruit development period is 31 days.The single fruit weight is around 4.5 kg.The pericarp is 10 mm in thickness.The fruit is of round shape,green in color with dark green stripes.The flesh is red in color and tastes crisp.The central sugar content is 11.9%.In fields,its resistance to blight and powdery mildew is equivalent to the contrast‘Jingxin No.1’.It can yield about 43.5 t·hm^(-2).It is suitable for protected and open field cultivation in Shaanxi,Anhui,Hebei,and Shandong Provinces.
