The American museum-university collaborative teacher education curriculum is the result of various factors, such as responding to the requirements of American education reform, changing the traditional teacher education model, and deepening the museum-university collaborative relationship.American universities and museums have explored and developed course models with different characteristics in collaboration. The research divides them into three types:museum online course mode, museum field course mode, and mixed course mode. And the innovation of different course models has been studied and analyzed from different dimensions such as curriculum planning and design, curriculum content, teaching mode, curriculum management, curriculum evaluation, and curriculum culture. The study finds that the curriculum still faces many problems and challenges in terms of sustainable development:such as the institutionalization of museum experience, stable capital investment and effective curriculum management.
