关联理论视角下苏轼诗词译本的对比分析——以《定风波》的三个英译本为例

Comparative Analysis on Translation of Su Shi’s Poems from Perspective of Relevance Theory——Based on Three English Versions of Ding Feng Bo

诗歌文本因其语义、意象和意境的不确定性而使其翻译产生了特殊性和复杂性。关联理论认为,翻译过程就是译者将译文和原文关联起来进行相似阐释的过程。在关联理论视角下对诗歌文本进行阐释翻译,对诗歌“原生态”美的保留和意境传达具有重要指导意义。以苏轼的代表作《定风波》的三个英译本为例,分析在诗词翻译中基于语言、意象和意境三个要素进行“阐释性相似”关联的必要性,证明关联理论对诗歌翻译指导的适用性。

The translation of ancient Chinese poems has been made special and complicated due to the uncertainty of meanings,images and artistic conceptions.It’s hold in the relevance theory of translation that translating is a process of similar interpretation in which the translators correlate the translated works to the original.Thus,the interpretive translation of the poetry from the perspective of the relevance theory can preserve the“original beauty”and convey the artistic conception of the source text.Taking three English versions of Su Shi’s masterpiece“Ding Feng Bo”as an example,this paper analyses the necessity of“interpretive similarity”-oriented relevance in terms of language,image and artistic conception,which proves the applicability of relevance theory to poem translation.
