兵学的境界

Realm of Military Science

中国传统兵学的理想境界至少需要具备五个方面的要素。一是仁慈。这是中国兵学区别于西方传统军事理论的最主要的特征之一,离开了天下情怀,兵学或兵家便只能沦落为杀人的工具。二是担当。孙子“进不求名,退不避罪”的担当精神,构成了中国兵学发展的主干,也成了民族精神的脊梁。三是团队。团队意识是军队凝练的必然,也是战争的需要,而具备团队意识的个体,无论从事任何行业,都会发挥出巨大的效益。四是智慧。首先,智慧必须以实力为基础,真正的智慧是建设实力的智慧,是巩固实力的智慧,是运用实力的智慧;其次,智需要建立在知的基础之上,要在尽知、先知、确知、善知四个方面下功夫;最后,要有理论的高度、历史的厚度、领域的宽度。五是超越。超越战争乃至于超越竞争,乃是人类社会的终结目标,也是兵学境界的最高体现。

The ideological realm of Chinese traditional military science needs at least five elements.The first element is benevolence,which is one of the most important characteristics that distinguish Chinese military science from traditional Western military theories.Without the sentiments of the world,military science or military strategist can only be reduced to a tool for murder.The second element is responsibility.Sun Tzu’s responsible spirit of“being regardless of personal gains and losses”constitutes the core of the development of Chinese military science and the backbone of the national spirit.The third element is team.Team consciousness is the necessity of the cohesion of the army,and it is also the need of war.Individuals with a sense of teamwork,no matter what industry they are engaged in,will give full play to benefits.The fourth element is wisdom.Firstly,wisdom must be based on strength.The true wisdom is the wisdom that builds strength,consolidates strength and uses strength.Secondly,wisdom must be built on the basis of knowledge,and efforts must be made in four aspects:overall knowledge,forsight,accurate knowledge and being good at learning knowledge.In the end,wisdom must have the height of theory,the thickness of history and the width of the field.The fifth element is transcendence.Surpassing war,and even competition,is the final goal of human society and the highest embodiment of the realm of military science.
