The Chinese national standard for Emergency shower and eyewash equipment consists of two parts:technical requirements and guidance for use.This paper introduces these two parts of the standard from the following aspects including background of standards development,constitution of standards system and main contents,interpretation on key elements of the standards,and significance of standards implementation,so as to provide technical support for the implementation of the standards.
