文章以《补高邮王氏说文谐声谱》为参考,对《说文解字》中收录的三十五个以“合”得声的字进行字族分析。结论认为“合”的本义应为“盒子”,以“合”为母文的同族字主要以“盒子”“覆盖、遮蔽”“相合、对合”“聚合、敛合”为义核,并论证了这些孳乳字的意义与母文之间的关系。

The article is based on the reference of"Bu Gaoyou Wang's Talking Harmonious Sound Spectrum"and analyzes the thirty-five words included in the"Shuowenjiezi"with the sound of"He".The conclusion holds that the original meaning of"He"should be"box",and that the Chinese character family composed of character"He"mainly has the meaning of"box""covering""conjunction"and"aggregation,convergence"as the meaning core,and demonstrates the relationship between the meaning of Ziru character and the Primitive Chinese character.
