摘要
印度是后殖民批评的重镇,霍米•巴巴、佳亚特里•斯皮瓦克、帕沙•查特吉、艾贾兹•阿赫默德等学者建构了印度后殖民批评的辉煌图景。印度后殖民批评家通过阐述西方当代文明的基本逻辑,分析其隐含的殖民话语,揭示其对印度等边缘地区形象的扭曲。当印度后殖民批评家关注印度形象的扭曲时,也就暗含了一种对本土本真性的寻求。但印度批评家并没有将这种本土本真性看作文化本质主义的衍生品,而是看作历史文化语境中生成和建构的产物。
India is a vital center of post-colonial criticism,Homi Bhabha,Gayatri Spivak,Partha Chatterjee,Aijaz Ahmad and other scholars constitute a brilliant picture of Indian post-colonial criticism.By explaining the basic logic of contemporary Western civilization,Indian post-colonial critics analyze the implicit colonial discourse and reveal the distortion of the image of India and other marginal areas.When the post-colonial critics are concerned about the distorted image,they also imply a quest for authenticity of the local.However,this kind of local authenticity is not the derivatives of cultural essentialism,but as a product constructed by historical and cultural contexts.
