An Error-based Analysis on the English Version of"The Exhibition of The Eighth Route Army Resident Office and The National Salvation Movement for The Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Gansu Province"

在“中国文化走出去”和“一带一路”等重要倡议下,我国“红色文化”的研究与译介已经正式提上“译事日程”,但其译文质量却并不见好,在“人类命运共同体”背景下,大大削弱了具有“中国特色”的“红色文化”外译与宣传力度。因此,文章以“八路军驻甘办事处与甘肃抗日救亡展览原状陈列展览馆”内的汉英对照解说词文本为例,从语法—拼写、语义措辞、英汉差异和术语翻译等方面探讨了“八路军驻甘办与甘肃抗战陈列馆”中革命历史故事的译文错误,归谬、分析其原因,并提出了相关译介整改策略和翻译方法。文章对甘肃革命历史文化对外译介活动小有裨益,对中国“红色文化”外译与传播具有一定参考价值。

In the context of the"Chinese Culture Going Global"and the"Belt and Road"initiatives,the research and translation of"Red Culture"in China has been officially put on the agenda of translation.But actually,the versions are not so excellent as we expect.Rather,it has greatly weakened the translation and propaganda of the"Red Culture".Therefore,the Chinese-English commentary text of"The Exhibition of The Eighth Route Army Resident Office and The National Salvation Movement for The Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Gansu Province"has been taken as an example in this article.Having discussed the errors in translating the revolutionary stories—in grammatic-spelling,semantics,diction,differences between English and Chinese,and term translation—corrected the errors,and analyzed the causes,the article is aimed at proposing relevant rectification strategies and translation measures.It is of benefit,to some extent,to the translation and introduction of the revolutionary history and culture,and of certain reference to the translation and spread of the Chinese"Red Culture"to the world.
