在线英语教学中教师支持对学习者投入的影响

The Impact of Teacher Support on Learner Engagement in the Online English Teaching

摘要 为探索教师支持对在线英语教学中学习者投入的影响,研究通过定量问卷方法,调查了新冠疫情期间A省W高校英语632名专业学生在线英语学习中所感知到的教师支持、学生的学习投入,并分析了教师支持对学习者投入的影响。研究发现,教师支持的四个维度对学生的学习投入都产生了不同程度的影响,其中工具性支持和信息性支持对学习者投入的影响最为显著,其次是情感性支持和评价性支持。 This study,aimed at exploring the influence of teacher support on learner engagement in the online English teaching,applies a quantitative method by conducting a questionnaire survey among 632 English majors in a provincial university to investigate their perception of teacher support and their learning engagement in the online courses during the COVID-19 pandemic.It also analyses the impact of teacher support on students'learning engagement in the online courses.The result indicates that the four dimensions of teacher support exert different degrees of impact on students'learning engagement,while the two most influential dimensions are instrumental and informational support and the two less influential are emotional and appraisal support.
