How to Great the Good Life Through Labor

创造美好生活是人类一直以来的理想价值追求,人类发展史实质上就是人们不断创造美好生活、满足美好生活需求的奋斗史。尽管美好生活在不同历史时期具有不同的内涵和价值指向,但人们对美好生活的向往和渴求却从未改变。当前,创造美好生活不仅是我国全面建设社会主义现代化强国的中心议题,而且是新时代我国人民在生活维度的奋斗目标。作为物质生活和精神生活相统一的生活形态,美好生活的创造离不开劳动。劳动是美好生活的源泉,是开创美好生活的必由之路。要实现社会主义现代化奋斗目标、满足人民日益增长的美好生活需求,必须追求美好劳动。只有在持续解放和发展生产力、不断提高劳动者素质并且树立正确劳动理念的基础上,把劳动上升到“美好”的层面,才能使劳动主体真正摆脱外部必然性的束缚,进而在自由自觉的创造性劳动中创建更加美好的生活。

Creating the good life has always been the pursuit of mankind,and the history of human development is essentially a history of people’s continuous efforts to create a good life and meet the needs of people.Although the good life has different connotation and value orientation in different historical periods,people’s yearning and desire for a good life has never changed.At present,creating the good life is not only the central theme of building China into a modern socialist country in an all-round way,but also the goal of our people in the dimension of life in the new era.As the unity of material life and spiritual life,the creation of good life is inseparable from labor.Labor is the source of good life and the only way to create the good life.In order to achieve the goal of socialist modernization and meet the people’s growing demand for the good life,we must pursue a kind of good labor.Only on the basis of continuous liberation and development of productivity,continuous improvement of workers’quality and establishment of correct labor concept,can labor be raised to the level of“good”,so that the labor subject can truly get rid of the shackles of external inevitability,and then create a better life through free and conscious creative labor.
