摘要
5G小区带宽是4G的5倍以上,且室外主要使用复杂度较高的64/32通道MassiveMIMO设备,导致5G基站功耗极高。数据显示,2019年初5G基站功耗约为4G基站的2~3倍,高功耗是运营商大规模部署5G面临的棘手问题。从5G基站节能的需求、目标出发,聚焦于软硬件节能技术的研究发展,硬件部分主要从功耗分布分析和硬件方案研究展开,软件部分主要包括亚帧静默、通道静默、浅层休眠和深度休眠等节能关键技术,最后根据试验结果提出相应的技术需求和应用场景建议,以降低基站功耗,实现更加绿色、高效、可持续发展的5G网络,满足5G发展的需求。
The bandwidth of 5 G cell is more than 5 times that of 4 G and the massive MIMO equipment with the complex 64/32 channels is mainly used outdoors, resulting in extremely high power consumption of 5 G base stations(BS). Data show that the power consumption of 5 G BSs in early 2019 is about 2~3 times that of 4 G BSs. High power consumption is a thorny issue for operators to deploy 5 G on a large scale. Starting from the energy-saving requirements and goals of 5 G BSs, this paper focuses on the research and development of software and hardware energy-saving technologies. Specifically, the hardware part mainly starts from power consumption distribution analysis and hardware solution research, and the software part mainly includes key energy-saving technologies such as sub-frame silence, channel silence, shallow sleeping and deep sleeping. Finally, according to the test results, the corresponding technical requirements and application scenario recommendations are proposed to reduce BS power consumption, and achieve a more green, efficient, and sustainable 5 G network to meet 5 G development.
