Inflammatory mediators: A new way to reveal the biological basis of blood stasis syndrome

阐明血瘀证的生物学基础是中医药现代化研究亟需解决的关键问题之一。传统的临床生化指标和诊断量表难以有效辨识不同证型血瘀证,文章拟提出血瘀证生物学基础的新方法。在前期动物模型研究与代谢组学研究基础上,发现血瘀证模型动物的炎症介质呈现明显的特异性表达,提出建立血瘀证的炎症介质特征谱,从炎症介质的整体性表征这一全新角度研究血瘀证的新方法,以期为中医证候的现代化研究提供新的思路和技术手段。

To clarify the biological basis of blood stasis syndrome is one of the key tasks in the modernization research of traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional clinical biochemical index and diagnostic scale are difficult to identify different syndrome types of blood stasis syndrome, and thus this study proposes a novel approach to the research of biological basis for blood stasis syndrome. Based on the results of previous animal modeling and metabolomics, we found that the inflammatory mediators in the model animals obviously presented specific expression;therefore, we propose to establish profile of inflammatory mediators for blood stasis syndrome, which provides a novel approach to the research of blood stasis syndrome from the perspective of global characterization of inflammatory mediators. This study is expected to provide new concept for the modernization research of TCM syndrome.
