《谢善述诗文集》从作者的视角系统、详细地反映了清末民初时期河湟社会状况,具有鲜明的时代特色和地方特色。尤其对于瞿昙地区光绪十二年雹灾和光绪十八年旱灾的记述,可以弥补地方文献的不足,为历史研究提供了一个新的参考视角,值得研究者进一步深入整理发掘。

From the perspective of the author,"Xie Shanshu's Collection of Poems and Essays"systematically and in detail reflects the social conditions of Hehuang river basin in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.In particular,the description of the hail disaster in the 12th year of Guangxu and the drought in the 18th year of Guangxu in the Qutan area can make up for the lack of local literature and provide a new reference perspective for historical research.
